From the moment I first learned about the United Nations, a fire sparked inside of me—a desire to one day, stand where world leaders and change-makers gather, to be part of something larger than myself. Growing up, I often dreamed of walking through the heart of New York City, breathing in its electric energy, and most of all, standing before the iconic United Nations Headquarters, where history is shaped and futures are imagined. This year, that dream finally came true.
Being selected as a Future We Want Young Ambassador was not only an honor, but the realization of a dream I had nurtured for years. The experience was more than just a visit—it was a soul-stirring journey that deepened my purpose, expanded my vision, and connected me with incredible young leaders from around the world. The moment I stepped foot in the United States, I felt a rush of emotions: pride, gratitude, disbelief, and overwhelming joy. I had arrived not just in the United States, but at the gateway to global impact.
Walking through the halls of the United Nations Headquarters was surreal. Every wall whispered stories of resilience, diplomacy, and hope. Sitting in the same chambers where world-changing decisions were made, I felt a sense of responsibility settle onto my shoulders—but it was a beautiful kind of weight, the kind that reminded me why I wanted to make a difference in the first place. I listened, I learned, and I spoke with conviction, knowing that my voice mattered. For the first time, I didn’t just see change—I was part of it.
This journey wasn’t only about standing in prestigious places or meeting influential people. It was about personal growth, courage, and making contacts. I was surrounded by young ambassadors who, like me, dared to believe that a better future is not only possible, but necessary. Together, we shared our hopes, our struggles, and our determination. We were from different places around the world, but our hearts beat in unison—for justice, equality, and for a tomorrow worth building!
None of this would have been possible without two extraordinary people who made this dream a reality. To Mrs Hajar, the heart and soul behind our group, thank you for your unwavering dedication, your guidance, and your belief in us. Your leadership lit the path that brought us here, and your encouragement gave us the courage to walk through it. You have been more than a faculty advisor—you have been a mentor, an inspiration, and a constant source of strength.
And to Mr. Askour, whose support and generosity helped make this journey possible, thank you from the depths of my heart. Your kindness and belief in our dreams have changed our lives. Because of you, we stood in a place most people only dreamed of. Because of you, we now know that nothing is impossible.
This experience will forever live in my heart—not just as a cherished memory, but as a reminder of what passion and perseverance can achieve! I will always carry with me the lessons I learned in New York, using them to build bridges and barriers, and light the way for others as it was lit for me.
From a childhood dream to a defining moment, this was more than a trip—it was the beginning of a lifelong mission to shape the Future We Want! And for that, I will be forever grateful.
As I walked through the towering skyline of New York City, every street corner felt like a scene from a movie I had watched a thousand times. The yellow taxis, the glowing billboards of Times Square, the endless rhythm of the city—it was all real, yet it felt like a beautiful illusion. But what truly marked my journey wasn’t just the city itself—it was who I became within it. I was no longer just a dreamer looking at the stars, I was now someone reaching for them.
Every conversation I had, every speech I listened to, every workshop I attended, taught me something new—not just about the world, but about myself. I discovered strength I didn’t know I had, courage that had been quietly waiting inside me, and a voice that was ready to be heard. I realized that being a young ambassador is not just about representing our countries, it’s about representing hope, resilience, and the power of youth to transform the future.
One of the most unforgettable moments was looking up at the flags flying outside the United Nations Headquarters. There, among hundreds of flags, was the flag of my own country, Morocco. I stared at it with tears in my eyes, knowing that I carried the hopes and stories of my people with me. In that moment, I wasn’t just a visitor, I was a part of something far greater. I was a living proof that dreams cross oceans, that borders cannot hold back passion, and that young voices can echo within the halls of the world’s most powerful organization.
To every young person reading this: never stop dreaming! No matter where you come from or how how surreal your dreams seem, believe in them with all your heart. If I, as a child who was once dreaming of going to New York City one day to speak at the Model United Nations representing my own country: Morocco, then you too can create your own path. The Future We Want isn’t built in a day—but it begins with people like you and me, daring to believe it’s possible!
As I return home, I carry with me not only memories, but a mission! I am more determined than ever to make a difference in my community, to share what I have learned, and to inspire others the way I was inspired. And I know this is just the beginning!
So once again, with all the sincerity in my heart, thank you Mrs Hajar—your tireless dedication, your kindness, and your belief in us made this experience possible. You are a beacon of strength, and we are all better for having known you. And thank you, Mr. Askour, for being the foundation behind it all, for believing in young people and giving us the wings to fly. You didn’t just make a dream come true—you helped shape a future!
This journey changed my life. And I will spend the rest of my life proving I was worth it!.
